Spot 1.9.12 enters beta test
Spot version 1.9.12 is available for beta testing. This version fixes the incorrect headings and some small bugs. The main bug remaining is with alarm notifications.

Neal Campbell, K3NC, Receives Software Excellence Award.
On May 17, 2008 at the FlexRadio Banquet and Forum held at the Dayton Hamvention, a Flexi Award was presented to Neal Campbell, K3NC, in honor of providing services and solutions to all Flex Radio operators. Flex-Radio stated that Flexi award were given to people who recognized an opportunity to unselfishly give of themselves a knowledge or skill that advanced the cause of software defined radio and benefited the FlexRadio community as a whole. DXBase 2007 QSO Logging

QSO logging is a breeze thanks to the internal logic of DXbase. You can use the Dxbutility program to specify what fields you want to see and the order you want them to appear ß(see screehshot above).
- Fields such as IOTA, Grid Square, Name, US State, US County, 10-10, and more are automatically populated based on previous QSOs.
- A full compliment of drop down boxes allows you to select from a list of valid entries for many fields.
- Frequency and mode can be automatically populated from your HF radio interface, or from user default options.
- Keep track of QSOs submitted for Awards and mark those to be used as first choice for an award.
- Log packet spots with the click of a button.
- Enter a callsign and press the tab key to have all other fields auto populated.
- Scroll the log from beginning to end.
- Sort the log by most fields by simply clicking the field name. Print preview is available.
- Colors, fonts, grid lines, screen position, size, and more can all be user configured. Fields in the log of no interest can be hidden.
- Easily send outgoing DX spots based on a QSO log entry.
- HF Summary Window automatically display worked/confirmed and not worked for the various HF bands and modes when entering a QSO. Tabs are available for Countries, CQ Zones, WPX, IOTA, WAS. Display includes beam headings, sunrise, and distance information.
- Previous QSO window automatically displays all past QSOs with a station when logging his callsign.
- Unlimited number of QSO records allowed.
- Create separate logs for different callsigns.
- Use the special Previous QSO module to easily record incoming bureau cards, create labels, and find QSOs fast and easy.
- Just click on an existing QSO to have all screen statistics windows automatically update based on the QSO selected.
- Four user defined fields allow for flexibility and special award tracking.
- Two types of notes fields, one for notes with a specific QSO, another for notes that are mapped to a specific callsign.
- Search for partial callsigns.
- Use the DXbase magnifying glass to easily increase or decrease the size of the text in the log.
- Auto insert operator name if it is contained on third-party CDROMs.
- Auto display address information if it is contained in the DXbase address database. If its not, easily add it.
- Auto population of ARRL country prefix, WPX, and more.
- Auto population of IOTA info if contained in an incoming DX spot.
- Automatically selects new digital modes and others based on user definable band plan.
- User defined field order and ability to hide fields that are not used.
- Auto populate name, QTH, US State, US County, and grid if this information is available on your third party address CDROM.
